While talking about fashion trends, we’re constantly looking for clothing. From hot black dresses to rave-ready leggings and iridescent skirts, there are plenty of tempting styles to talk about this fall. But accessories also do well to define one’s own personality. And here we have narrowed the fall trends to ten exotic and cool accessorizing trends for autumn.
Sunglasses: Vintage style, bone-colored frames are order of the day at Dries Van Noten and Marni, but this season’s big story in glasses is visor frame. Gucci’s fine sunglasses take on trend with a futuristic, and robotic feel. The camera-shy types notes super-black color, with lenses so dark that you can’t see the eyes. Similar styles can be seen at Marc Jacobs and Fendi. Take them to next level of glamor with red lips.
Shoes: Lace-ups, courts, studded, strappy, platforms, anything goes. But autumn’s footwear should have an underlying tone of toughness. Even a simple court must have something special about it. At Dior, the heels are beautifully arched with metal detailing, while Miuccia Prada has embellished her rich-colored velvet shoes with either sequins, leather fringing or metal studs.
Boots: What should be the most sensible item of the season, it’s exactly a walk on the wild side. Boots have made a sensuous entry this season. Sharp, sexy ankle and OTK styles can be seen at Yves Saint Laurent, Balmain, Balenciaga, Prada, Jil Sander, Stella McCartney and many more.
Socks: This season wear your socks just below the knee or up high on the thigh. Vivienne Westwood has created witty twist in socks by decorating them with stars and orb motifs. Marni enhances the warm textures of collection with scaled-up grey tartan hosiery. The ribbed sock at Miu Miu, sparkling with beads and sequins, is really a thing of beauty.
Jewelry: Jewelry is bold this season. Oversized chain-link cuffs with adorned wrists were seen at Balenciaga and safety-pin embellished bib necklaces shone at Moschino. Intricate bohemian pearl and coin necklaces jangled at Dior while Dolce & Gabbana boasted fob watch trinkets.
Gloves: Just as the boots and socks have gone long, gloves has gone lengthier than usual ‘cocktail’ style. Alber Elbaz and Marni raised with elbow-length gloves and loose padded versions.
Bags: Metallics and simple fine designs are in this season. Over-the-top bags are over. Alexander Wang, has been the insiders’ flavor of the season, presenting simple and beautiful leather totes. However there’s still observable glamor at Prada, where highly delectable bags are cocooned in jet sequins. Covetable clutches can be found at D&G, Armani, Versace, Fendi, and Dries Van Noten.
Belts: Ignore hips and accentuate your waist this season to achieve a skinny silhouette. Chloe’s over-sized coats and highwaisted shorts were secured with thin tan-colored belts to achieve early Eighties feel of the collection. While Gucci designer Frida Giannini accentuated her mini-dresses with wide belts and buckle-fronted styles.
Scarves: A scarf gives an instant look, and Burberry Prorsum’s snood-like knitted scarf is a perfect example. Drape the scarf loosely around neck for an off-duty model look. Marc by Marc Jacobs’ and Chloe’s knitted scarves add an effortless glamor to personality.
Hats: Headwear always makes a statement, and this autumn the message is cute and a little bit eccentric. Dior’s pointed caps, Chanel’s charming wide-brimmed knitted boaters, Burberry’s fedora and Luella’s military caps are eminently wearable.
