Anna Sui presented her Spring 2010 Collection inside the largest tent at Bryant Park. She described the collection “inspired by the circus scenes in ‘Doctor Dolittle’… very Sixties Victorian.”
Sui staged her show in front of a huge pink and black circus tent. Collection continued to follow the same ‘Three-ring-circus-meets-the-Sixties’ theme, as Sui showed tall marching band hats, cropped jackets with rope epaulettes, embroidered capes, and then wallpaper prints in combinations of green, brown and orange along with purple linen chambray dresses and floral appliqué head scarves.
As always, Sui’s show was entertaining, full of feel-good looks, and this season was no exception. Sui instructed models to smile and act like they were having fun when they hit the end of runway as spring symbolizes.
