Designer Christopher Bailey found another way to interpret a long-esteemed Burberry Prorsum staple, the beloved trench coats, with modernity and huge stylism for his latest Spring Collection. Bailey truly exceled himself on Burberry’s home turf, and it was never a better time to up the ante.
Bailey’s miraculous mini-trenches were dressed up and down, some thrown over fantastically draped mini-dresses, while others were worn as dresses themselves. Canvas and military-style belts cinched casual versions of trenches, while well polished leather belts and gleaming black buttons accented silk and satin ones.

Models wore khaki socks gathered at ankle and towering khaki platform sandals with mini-trenches and dresses, making a hot fashion for upcoming season. Grown woman are not often seen wearing socks with sandals and not look a bit off, but Bailey orchestrated this look famously at this show.
Prorsum’s trademark piece was hacked off, belted, and recast in shimmering satin and silk with ruched details at shoulders. Pale hues like lilac and pink, and wider use of sequins and other adornments will likely elevate spring/summer 2010 mini-trenches to cult status.

Although short fur jackets, were a curious choice for a spring collection, even this decision seemed completely right. Shown in sweet pastels, furs were abbreviated and one could imagine them as a perfect little cover up during transition from winter to spring.
Burberry’s spring/summer 2010 collection was one of the best runway shows of this year’s London Fashion Week. There’s no doubt that Bailey’s masterful reinterpretation of a fashion classic is determined to be a smashing neoclassic success. See the runway show at Burberry.com.
I think this is the best designed fashion site I have seen yet. The information is great.Keep up the great work.:-)
