As part of bold global initiative, VOGUE’s international editions are partnering with designers, department stores, boutiques, and high-street chains to create Fashion’s Night Out. This extravaganza evening is to be held around the world on Thursday, 09/10, from 6P.M. until midnight.

In United States, American Vogue has joined NYC & Company, the City of New York, and Council of Fashion Designers of America to buck-up consumer spirit of America’s fashion capital, New York City.

Hosting the first evening of New York Fashion Week, Fashion’s Night Out will encompass festivities galore from creative and innovative window displays, to model and celebrity appearances.

Flowing champagne, musical performances, downtown barbecues, shoe capsules, and sweepstakes abound will make you enjoy this evening. This is gonna be a lot of fun! And yeah, there will be makeovers, haircut stations, and brow bars, at sundry spots too.

Over 300 retailers in every New York City borough are participating in this mega event. Big names involved include Macy’s (Rachel Roy will hold a fashion show featuring her new line), Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue (Donna Karan and Carolina Herrera will be on hand to celebrate openings of their respective new in-store boutiques) and more.

Several stores will also have in-store sweepstakes with chance to win prizes like a wedding dress by Carolina Herrera and a makeover on Today show with none other than Bobbi Brown.

Other countries who are also celebrating this event are United Kingdom, Greece, Russia, France, Brazil, India, Italy, Spain, China, Germany, Japan, and Taiwan.
