Paul Costelloe highlighted shoulders for Spring at LFW
London Fashion Week opened it’s way with a show from Paul Costelloe who always gets the showcase off to a fabulous great start. He has been showing at LFW for 15 years and has been opening show for past five seasons.

Collection was trend driven with exaggerated shoulders and a few neutral shades, and was truly designed to flatter women. The silhouettes were architectural with strong geometric shapes, spherical skirts emblazoned with nectar-like patterns, and matching clutch bags.

To mark the 25th anniversary of LFW, Costelloe introduced his first menswear collection for the event which he said was aimed to compliment his womens wear. It was the biggest difference seen as far in his collections. He described this collection as one which creates, ‘a sophisticated and relaxed summer feeling- a walk by the Tiber in the evening sun- truly La Dolce Vita’.

There was a slight space age vibe in a ’60s-futuristic way with metallic jacquards, padded shoulders, and funnel neck. The show came to a close with two floor length gowns which would make perfect attire for coming award shows.
