Douglas Little, creative director of D.L. & Co., has collaborated with Dell and Bergdorf Goodman on a stunning line of ultra-luxe PCs. These laptops will be based on high-fashion concept designs.
The designer has created a limited-edition line of opulent Adamo laptop skins, which elicit various “Tales of Technology”. With the help of Bergdorf Goodman’s senior director of visual presentation, David Hoey, each computer’s concept has been enhanced with a dazzling display in the store’s famed Fifth Avenue windows.

Starting clockwise for the laptops shown in the image above, here’s a brief description on designs and their inspirations given by Little.
Web Master/Master the Web: This crystallized spiderweb laptop is very much inspired by 1920s and ’30s design and is based on a Cartier brooch.
Ultimate Temptation: This biblically inspired Swarovski serpent is obviously based on Eve, the apple, and the snake. Michael Schmidt, costume designer who does Cher, Madonna, and Grace Jones, collaborated with Little for designing on this laptop.
What the Future Holds: The three pieces in creamy shades are the main pieces in this window. These laptops depicts a fortune teller grasping a deck of three Adamos that bear Gothic tarot-card designs. Just in time for Halloween, is the Amore image, which Little chose because “Adamo” means ‘to fall in love’. The other two are Spada and Lvna.
The Princess and the PC: The story of Princess and the Pea is that, princess is the only one who can feel the pea underneath her mattresses. So this speaks to idea that this laser-etched mother-of-pearl design laptop is the slimmest laptop available in this category.
Reshaping Technology: This is caiman crocodile skin, which has been pieced together by just using its shape to make the corset. It’s all hand-sewed and embellished with black-diamond Swarovski crystals.
Seduce the Senses: It’s inspired by 1930s art deco movement and opium dens. The corresponding window design will depict a 19th-century opium den, with ethnic-inspired pieces from Naeem Khan. All of these laptops feel like a Victorian lap desk, that you may have in bed with you, and this is the modern version of that.
Divine Design: This laptop is about chemical symbolism and idea of beginning and ending; it’s all about creation. Little wanted to use a concept that had a lot of historical research as the basis but it should also felt like a lush brooch and very relevant to what’s actually happening in fashion. Its accompanying window includes a trio of hoop-skirted mannequins inspired from Russian nesting dolls.
