Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2010 Bridal Collection
The famous bridal wear designer, Monique Lhuillier, recently presented her Fall 2010 bridal collection in New York. Daughter of Michel Lhuillier and Amparito Llamas, Monique is well known for her dreamy, romantic designer bridal gowns. For a traditional bride, her wedding day is the chance to dress ‘n’ feel like a princess, and she is the go-to designer for ultimate fantasy bridal dresses. Her designs were worn by celebrities like Ashlee Simpson, Jewel, and Alicia Silverstone on their special day.

Lhuillier’s Fall 2010 bridal collection, stressed exactly on that kind of fanciful spirit for which she’s known. Entitling it “Fairytale Winter Wedding,” Lhuillier’s models wore gowns that transformed them into art works worthy of being esteemed on a pedestal.
A life-size photo printed backdrop on runway showed medieval hermitage with black and white marble tile floors and gothic archways. These were architectural elements that her dresses mimicked with asymmetrically pleated bodices that twisted around body or with geometric tulle appliqués.
