Madonna shoots for Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2010 Campaign
Madonna has joined forces with Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana to showcase their New Spring/Summer 2010 collection. Brand’s forthcoming ad campaign was shot in New York by photographer Steven Klein.

Madonna first met the designer duo Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce back in early ’90s and have retained a strong bond and mutual respect ever since. After their first meeting, the designers went onto design Madonna costumes for the now iconic, “The Girlie Show” tour in 1993.
As Dolce & Gabbana’s spring 2010 collection returned to Italian roots of the brand, evoking its strong heritage and revisiting iconic pieces such as the corset. Designer’s spring 2010 finale was composed solely of corsets, and they seemed only fitting to Madonna, who embodies both the strong sensuality of brand and shares an Italian heritage with the designers. So, she is the perfect one to showcase their Sicilian inspired collection.
According to Swide (Dolce & Gabbana’s in-house online magazine), “To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true”, said Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana on Madonna appearing in their campaign.
