Naeem Khan and Tibi ~ Dazzling Black Pre Fall 2010 Collection
It seems like Black is going to be ‘very in‘ color for this Pre Fall 2010. This notion is perfectly supported by collection flaunted by Naeem Khan and Tibi.
After the First Lady wore strapless gold gown to November’s White House state dinner by Naeem Khan, he became the third most searched-for name on Google. Khan seemed to be wallowing in the attention. Presenting a doze to the films “Moulin Rouge” and “Nine,” Naeem Khan presented cocktail dresses which were exotic. He has played beautifully with intricate beads, elaborate embroideries and flirty feathers. Richly textured pieces with subtle colors, gave a very earthy feeling. The effect was somewhat youthful and fresh that was well portrayed by cocktail frock beaded in a chevron pattern and a black wool cashmere caftan with a jewel-embellished neckline.

Talking about Tibi’s pre-fall collection, it was a nice blend of black with striking colors such as yellow, blue and red. The designer pieces included edgy pieces with a feminine twist. For the first time, designer Amy Smilovic has introduced leather in the form of pleated black shorts and a coordinating miniskirt. Well known for her splashy prints, she gave equal play to tropical-inspired florals and abstract pix-elated motifs by using both of them for little silk dresses. All of the dresses were in black with a nice match up of colorful attire. The flattering fitted slouchy trousers and a lightweight striped jacket with a draped lapel looked awesome.

Summarizing it all, Naeem Khan and Tibi’s Pre Fall collection is a nice blend of subtle and flashy colors.
