Karen Elson replaced Angelina Jolie in St. John Ad Campaign!
Angelina Jolie, beauty icon of decade will no longer be face of designer brand St. John. Angelina signed up with luxury brand in 2005, after replacing supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Since then, she has been featured in their ad campaigns. But now red headed model, Karen Elson is new face of St. John’s spring 2010 ad campaign. No no…it’s not because of obvious reason that may strike one’s mind such as Angelina’s declining popularity or something like that.
Actually, reason is other way around. She has been replaced, as she is too famous for brand. According to luxury label’s chief executive, Angelina’s popularity was overshadowing the brand. So, they decided to replace her with flame-haired model Karen Elson, in an effort to be more fashion-forward. Indeed a big move for Karen Elson.
