Hermes RTW Fall 2010 line was a collection full of tight leather clothing and black bowler hats. This collection was exactly a remake of sixties British TV series – “The Avengers”. Collection was themed by designer Jean Paul Gaultier, who showed zippy collection which gave a license to hook in a spoofy power-woman stereotype for this season. Secondly, he brought in masculine tailoring with bowler hats and furled umbrellas.

Hermes Fall 2010 collection was stylish and will be seen trendily for next winter and that’s for sure. Collection contributed with jeans and mini skirts in crocodile. But more elegant pieces were in black leather which was themed like a second skin. Sleeveless leather gown, draped on hips, turtleneck or a three piece men suit, were all in leather. It was like leather has captured the whole world of Hermes.

Models for this collection strutted down the runway with heads topped with cute dark bowler hats, and classic three-piece suit. They were also accessorized with pocket watch or umbrella, which made the models look as if they had stepped out from old-world England. Gaultier real concern was to cut a regular and discreet jacket or coat that could be seen in impeccable tailoring, with no egregious extras as far as trendiness is concerned.

At end, Gaultier somehow managed to swing whole thing as a pretty effective demonstration of classic Hermes values. And Hermes proved once again that they have a soul with clever old Gaultier. Truly, it was a Legendary Leather Fiesta!!
