Doug Pitt appointed Goodwill Ambassador Of Tanzania
Doug Pitt, a professional photojournalist and younger brother of Brad Pitt is named Goodwill Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania. He is honored for his humanitarian work. Doug’s wife Lisa Pitt was accompanying Doug Pitt when he was honored by country’s President Jakaya Kikwete at NYC’s Essex House on April 19.
Elder brother Brad Pitt and his parents, Bill and Jane Pitt could not be there to attend the tribute dinner due to volcanic ash from Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull volcano. Doug is a director of charity that helps supply fresh water in Africa. He truly deserves this honor.
