Erdem Moralioglu, the 30-year-old, London-based designer, has won the first BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Award. The Award comprises of £200,000 prize and access to director level mentors across the fashion industry. This award has been established as a key part of BFCs 25th anniversary legacy programme to further enhance reputation of London’s rising stars and assist in development of their businesses.

Brand’s high-esteemed customers include Michelle Obama, Sarah Brown, and Samantha Cameron. Erdem was selected for this award based on label’s strong design signature and clear vision for immediate development and growth of his business. Overall, there eight designers shortlisted by a panel of representatives of Fund sponsors. All of those shortlisted were invited to present their collections and future plans to judging panel of Fund sponsors and industry experts chaired by Alexandra Shulman, Editor of British Vogue. Among all, Erdem seemed more confident and deserving and he won!!
The BFC will develop a bespoke mentoring programme tailored specifically to assist Erdem Moralioglu in achieving his business goals for next twelve months. The network developed during this time period will endure throughout his career as he makes transition from a developing creative business into a global fashion brand.
