Malcolm McLaren, the punk fashion pioneer and former manager of Sex Pistols and New York Dolls, is no more with us! After the sudden death of Alexander McQueen, this is the shocking news for fashion as well as music world.

Aged 64, Malcolm was suffering from mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer, and died at a hospital in Switzerland. His 37-year-old partner Korean-American Young Kim was at his bedside, along with his son Joe Corre, when he left this world.

Best-known as the famed manager of punk band Sex Pistols, he achieved the notoriety he sought – and which never left him.He certainly had a large influence over fashion and music we associate with rebellious genre.

McLaren had kept his illness quiet from everyone except his family. His one-time girlfriend and business partner, designer Vivienne Westwood, is in a big grief. She said, “When we were young and I fell in love with Malcolm, I thought he was beautiful and I still do. I thought he was a very charismatic, special and talented person. We hadn’t been in touch for a long time. The thought of him dead is really something very sad.”

He was truly a showman extraordinaire and a fashion influencer. Malcolm, may rour soul rests in peace in Heaven!!
