The Fragrance Foundation has announce that fashion designer Michael Kors will be honored with the 2010 Hall of Fame Award at The Fragrance Foundation FiFi celebration on Thursday June 10th, 2010. The Hall of Fame award is voted by Foundation’s Board of Directors and is presented to an individual who has brought extraordinary creativity, ingenuity, dedication and inner resources to bear, not only to their company’s success but to fragrance industry as a whole.

Michael Kors is recognized for his major contributions to fashion as well as American perfume industry. He has created three successful fragrance franchises since 2000. The range includes Michael Kors signature perfume for both women and men, Michael Kors Island collection debuted in 2005 and most recently Very Hollywood Michael Kors perfume.
According to Rochelle Bloom, President of The Fragrance Foundation, “Michael Kors’ extraordinary, sophisticated fashion vision promises a fabulous jet-set lifestyle to women everywhere at every age. His successful wardrobe of fragrances complements the sleek, the polished, the glamorous look he so effortlessly creates season after season. We are honored to present him with the Hall of Fame Award.”
For this, Kors said that to him fragrance is probably the most intimate thing he would ever create. He added that fragrances is just like his fingerprint, and he is deeply honored that The Fragrance Foundation has chosen him for that precious award.
