Jason Wu is Manhattan-based American fashion designer who focuses on ready to wear designs. Jason Wu turned to be elegant at St. Regis Hotel in New York City where he showed his 2011 Resort Collection. Collections focus was on très chic and inspired by iconic 1960s French actress Anna Karina. Jason Wu Cruise 2011 collection was different from Christian Dior Resort 2011 and Burberry Prorsum Resort 2011 who set the tone of Parisian flavor for the collection.

Jason Wu Resort collection started with a white cotton oxford shirt that was accented with a polka-dot chiffon ascot. Wu created striped jackets, nautical striped pieces, shrunken shorts, and breezy frocks that captured Karina’s polished aesthetic. Collection was full of sweet little dresses which were designer’s stock-in-trade.

Later, Wu shifted from shorts suits to some big resort trends which included bias-cut chiffon gowns with ruffle-edged plunging-V backs. Khaki cotton cuffed shirts and olive coated-cotton Karina trench coat were also seen which made the basics far more beautiful.

This collection gave freshest evening look. There were not only casual–flirty dresses in pressed-daffodil prints but short shifts were fun and feminine.
