For 2011, Rachel Roy, famous designer launched her Resort 2011 collection, which was inspired by the work of painter Amelia Pelaez. Like Chanel Resort Collection 2011 and Jason Wu Resort 2011 Collection, Rachel Roy also emphasized on the right balance between femininity and masculinity.

In Rachel Roy Resort 2011 collection, one could see models in punchy, menswear elements that came in the form of bright colored silk palazzo pants and high-waisted flared-leg trousers.

Loose-fitting sweatshirt with A-line skirt, oversize black trench belted to highlight a feminine silhouette, wide-leg trouser paired with a floaty white top, were among the best parts of this collection.

In this collection Rachel incorporated styles borrowed from boys with girlish charm in form of sequins, skirts, sheer and pretty prints.

Thought for this collection moved around dresses worn during mid-twentieth century. Rachel Roy said that ”I thought about what she would have worn during the mid-twentieth century to be taken seriously.” Though this collection was blend of masculine and feminine details, but the shoes and accessories were truly feminine.
