Vena Cava Resort 2011 Collection: Cool and Casual
Resort collections are all about jet-setting vacationers. Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai’s showed their resort collection for Vena Cava which is full of wearable and easy cool looks. Vena Cava Resort 2011 Collection was much like Rachel Roy Resort 2011 collection where menswear elements came in form to show balance between femininity and masculinity.
As skirts give fresh takes on spring sportswear, so in this collection one could see models in floaty tiered skirts that have bit of VC charm that we can’t get enough of. The dusty orange and yellow palette was influenced by road trip to Death Valley and 1970 flick Zabriskie Point.
Overall collection inspired slouchy-cool jumpsuits with zippers, menswear button-downs which are definitely staple-worthy and details like overall straps and adorable handkerchief hemmed.
