Mad Men Season 4 has just started and adding to happiness of Christina Hendricks is latest statement of United Kingdom official Lynne Featherstone. Lynne Featherstone praised Christina Hendricks for her curves. Christina Hendricks plays role of sassy secretary Joan Harris (nee Holloway) of the new agency Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce in television drama Mad Men.

According to the BBC, Equalities Minister Lynne Featherstone said:

“Christina Hendricks is absolutely fabulous. We need more of these role models. There is such a sensation when there is a curvy role model. It shouldn’t be so unusual.”

She even said “Mad Men” star is a role model for young girls and women. Lynne Featherstone highlighted the overexposure of skinny models and talked about fashion industry’s use of size-zero models and airbrushing in magazines. Ms Featherstone is also planning to meet representatives of fashion industry later this year to propose that digitally enhanced images should carry a warning so that readers know when they were altered and when not.
