Elie Saab gowns are known for being red carpet worthy and this notion is evident in Elie Saab Paris Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2010/11 Collection as well. Making Paris Haute Couture 2010 Season more magnificent, luxurious and glittery, Elie Saab Fall 2010 Collection presented dreamy gowns.

Inspired by concept of the phoenix arising from the ashes, this runway show was all about luxurious red carpet dresses and gowns. Elie Saab said before the show, “If a woman doesn’t want ‘rich,’ she doesn’t come to couture”

A lot of dazzling red carpet worthy gowns like fiery red gowns adorned with hundreds of thousands of beads and crystals and red silk tulle and chiffon draped gowns were presented.

Karolina Kurkova walked ramp in gown of deep red guepiere lace swathed in silk tulle. Making it more dazzling were red ostrich feathers “woven” into sequin-strewn angora. Not only this, Elie Saab Haute Couture Fall 2010 Collection also flaunted palazzo-style jumpsuits, gold and silver sequined fishtail-gowns, with halter-necks and sleeves.

Top and pencil skirt with flurry of pleated chiffon flounces and a long column dress of sequins, veiled with a chiffon cage was awesome. Elie Saab Couture 2010 Fashion Show closed with grey and gold wedding dress in ash-grey silk tulle and sequins, with eight-foot train that was magical.

After the show, Elie Saab said “You must respect every woman and what she likes. We must respect her opinion.”

I love this collection! It was great to see Saab doing strong shoulders on some of the outfits. And oh, the textures and the ornamentation are divine!
