In these new shots by photographer Steven Klein, 51-year-old Material Girl looks very different and elegant. She is portrayed as an Ordinary Woman in this as campaign.
In Fall 2010 Dolce & Gabbana campaign, Madonna plays a character inspired by her icon, Italian actress Anna Magnani. Madonna is posing with a big Italian family. In this she is featured playing with a baby, doing tango with her fictive son, getting her skirt stitched up by her granny, sitting for a family portrait, holding a rooster. According to D&G’s official online magazine, Swide, “Madonna is the light at the center of the family axis, she is the story, the point of gravity to which all other members attract.”
Madonna appears as a mother spending time with a little child, sister, daughter and granddaughter taking care of her granny in pictures that themselves tell a story.
