Christian Siriano Spring 2011 Collection was among New York Fashion Week Spring 2011 opening collections at Lincoln Center. Project Runway Season 4 winner described it as a mélange of various cultures from places he hasn’t been; “A bit of African, a bit of Asian, a bit of Mediterranean-Greek.”
Show got a head start as models stepped on runway clad in a buttery caramel colored, long-sleeve safari jacket paired with a white slim-fit trouser made out of stretch cotton. Following her were models who hit the runway in bright color dresses adorned with ruffles and earthy prints. Completing the look were bold, sky-high heels from his Payless shoe collection.
Styles like sharply-tailored pieces, white kimono shirt dress paired with a leather double-buckle belt, shift dress made out of metallic tweed, leather and a croc-embossed trench coat in a gold stone color, one-sleeved cocktail dresses and gowns, “temple” prints, based on old Asian houses of worship, silk organza cocktail dresses and flounced camisoles were awesome.
