Whilst New York Fashion Week gave us lots of nude and neutral shades, London is bold and colorful. With his sophisticated classic silhouettes, designer Christopher Kane is setting the fluorescent trend for Spring 2011. Inspired by Queen Elizabeth II as young woman, this collection is a fluorescent fiesta featuring shades of green, orange and pink, the colors that just make your heart race.
Christopher Kane’s RTW Spring 2011 Collection is all about neon colors played with prints. He has mixed simple silhouettes with futuristic colors and bold prints creating a “Highlighting Impact“.

Kane has given his pleated skirts, dresses and skirt suits the highlighter impact and hole-punch treatment, sending out brightly colored pieces that were made from leather perforated with lace motif. Other dresses and skirts were fashioned from pleated fluorescent lace. One bright orange halter neck dress was both ethereal and graphic with lace at bottom and geometric pleating detail. The dresses with fierce, swirling Japanese tattoo prints and fluorescent piping were little disappointing.

These neon colored dresses featuring soft lace, jersey prints, laser cut leather and argyle tops, were presented with signature ‘sexy as hell‘ Giuseppe Zanotti heels with same neon color palette. Makeup was kept simple so as to highlight the dresses. However, these dresses can look cool when paired with sexy and colorful Leopard print sandals or black booties.

“Supersophisticated“, this word is enough to describe Christopher Kane’s Spring 2011 Collection. This collection can lead Spring 2011 as trend-setter for neon colored dresses. Stay connected with FashionFame for latest details on London Fashion Week Spring 2011 Runway Shows.
