Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 NYFW Collection: 70s inspired Women’s Fashion
Marc Jacobs Fashion Show is always amongst much awaited show of Fashion Weeks and his latest Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Spring 2011 presentation was also awesome. It was a worth every minute presentation. Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 Collection flaunted at New York Fashion Week Spring 2011 was inspired by ’70s. Fabrics, silhouettes, colors, hairstyles, everything was just perfect. It was a nice departure from his fall 2010 offering.
Color palette flowed from bright to dark hues that included burnt orange, plum, dark yellow and deep lavender, camel and even black color. Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 women’s collection was a nice amalgamation of dramatic, futuristic, feminine, glamorous vacation outfits, colorful womenwear, groovy stripes and much more.
Show opened with model Luisa Bianchin stepping on runway in electric orange print Eastern-inflected coat with belled sleeves and an obilike belt. Completing the look was huge fabric flower in her red frizz with heavy eye makeup.

Dramatic pieces like sultry halter dresses, strapless jumpsuits slit thigh high,high-waist trousers, overly poufy skirts, flower belts were prominent on runway.
Talking about Marc Jacobs accessories; hair flowers, neck flower choker necklaces, butterfly-ish belts, oversize sun hats, gold glitter heeled platform sandals, clutches or chain-link shoulder bags and tiny purses were stylish. Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 handbags grabbed attention owing to their variety and exquisite look.
