After checking out promising Spring 2011 fashion trends flaunted at New York Fashion Week Spring 2011, it’s time now to head towards east for London Fashion Week Spring 2011. Let’s start London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2011 fashion journey with Topshop Unique Spring 2011 Fashion Show.

Topshop brought seventies fashion to runway in a stylish way featuring fringe, tye dye and sheer materials. It was an attention grabbing show by British label shown at new Topshop space over at Waterloo Station. It carried on 70’s inspired spring 2011 fashion trend as shown on Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 collection in NYFW to London fashion Week.

Topshop’s head of design Karen Bonser’s defined whole mood of Unique collection as ‘Ethereal‘. Models stepped on runway doing catwalk on Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen” soundtrack that took audience to ’70s all the way. Whole vibe of collection was dreamy based on mythological creatures, mixed with disco glamor. Color palette was striking and unique accompanying orange and crimson, ochre and yellow and black as well.

Key pieces at Topshop Unique Spring 2011 London Fashion Week Show included floaty chiffon scarf tops, fluttering capelets and filmy palazzos, flowy pants, long suit jackets. Highlights of collection included rhinestone-studded top paired with beaded pants, a red suede dress that was high at the front but low at the back, white bodysuit with appliqued angel wings, jewelled and flared trousers and many more.

Celebrities at Topshop Unique Spring 2011 presentation included Lily Allen, Olivia Palermo and fashionista-in-residence of Girls Aloud, Nicola Roberts, Pixie Geldof and Nick Grimshaw. On the whole, Topshop Unique Spring 2011 women’s collection was wearable and nice take on 70s inspired Women’s Fashion.
