Anne Hathaway and James Franco to Co-Host 2011 Oscars
Anne Hathaway and James Franco will be hosting 2011 Oscars. They will be sharing hosting duties for the 83rd annual Academy Awards, reports EW.com.
The two actors “personify the next generation of Hollywood icons— fresh, exciting and multi-talented. We hope to create an Oscar broadcast that will both showcase their incredible talents and entertain the world on February 27″ Oscar telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer said in a statement on Monday.
James Franco and Anne Hathaway, 2011 Oscars hosts will be taking the reigns from last year’s hosts, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. Unlike James, “Love and Other Drugs” star Anne Hathaway is not stranger to the Academy Awards stage as she did a little dance performance on stage with Hugh Jackman, 2 years ago, when he hosted the show.
