Miss USA Alexandria Mills crowned Miss World 2010
Verdict is out!! Miss World 2010 is Miss USA Alexandria Mills. American beauty, Alexandria Mills won the 60th Miss World crown 2010 on (Oct. 30) Saturday evening in China’s Sanya city. Mills, an 18-year-old teen from southern US state of Kentucky, beat more than 100 beautiful women in competition.
Miss America failed to hold back tears after she was crowned 2010 Miss World by Miss World Kaiane Aldorino of Gibraltar, who won last year in South Africa. Miss World 2009 also led her to a diamond-shaped throne, in honor of pageant’s 60th anniversary.
Blonde, blue-eyed princess recently graduated from high school and and wants to become a teacher. Mills is a vegetarian and likes traveling, photography and playing French horn, according to her biography on Miss World website. 5′9” tall, Mills got luxurious blue tiara which was placed on her lucky head.
Miss Alexandria Mills was dressed in a sparkling ivory-colored dress with a slit up the leg. She really looked stunning in her crisp white evening gown which was brilliantly complemented with lovely curly hair.
Miss World 2010 won judges’ heart with her 30-second speech in spotlight. “I want to make an impact on others lives. I want to help everyone that I possibly can. It’ll be an honor to become Miss World 2010,” said Mills, who was announced winner by respected Chairperson of International event Julia Morley.
Talking about Miss Universe 2010 runner ups, Second place went to Miss Botswana Emma Wareus while Miss Venezuela Adriana Vasini came third. Miss Botswana was dressed in an amazing yellow gown, while Miss Venezuela stole everyone’s heart in bright red gown.
The glittering evening started with a traditional Chinese dance, followed by introduction of 120 contestants from across the world. Beautiful ladies set the stage on fire with an aptly titled act “Dances of the World”. Mega event of Miss World 2010 started with a performance by Brazil, followed by Miss India World Manasvi Mamgai. This was a night that Miss World 2010 Alexandria Mills and other contestants are likely to remember all their life.
