Paris Fashion Week Fall Winter 2011: Hakaan, Nicolas Andreas Taralis & Thimister
After enjoying fashion fiesta at London, New York, and Milan, it’s time now to shift attention towards Paris. Check out designer collection presented by designers on first day of Paris Fashion Week Fall 2011.
Hakaan Fall 2011 Collection:
Paris Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2011/12 kicked off with Hakaan fall 2011 runway show. Turkish designer Hakaan Yildirim flaunted the designs, marking his second season showing at Paris Fashion Week.
It was all about showing lot of skin in thigh high skirts, sheer dresses featuring cut out details, asymmetrical hemlines, short, skintight dresses and much more.
Top models including Natalia Vodianova, Freja Beha Erichsen and Mariacarla Boscono stepped on runway to flaunt Hakaan Fall 2011 dresses. There were also colorful frocks and back leather outerwear flaunting masculine-feminine trend.
Nicolas Andreas Taralis Fall 2011 Collection:
Nicolas Andreas Taralis fall 2011 runway show was all about darker tones. Show opened with a model stepping on runway in a sheer romantic Victorian blouse with skinny black leather pants that laced up the sides of the legs.
Then came a slew of models wearing Nicolas Andreas Taralis Fall 2011 pieces featuring total black out that transformed into splash of red color seen on fluted-sleeve shirts.
Pieces like ecological wool coat, button-downs tailored close to the body featuring geometric cutouts above the bust, elongated jacket Taralis’ gritty black jeans were interesting.
Thimister Fall 2011 Collection:
Most prominent color on Dutch designer Josephus Thimister Fall 2011 runway show, titled Snow: Mystic Circles of Fallen Angels was BLACK. Masculine-feminine fashion was presented on the runway in a gothic manner. Black was gradually replaced by pure white, barely there beige and slate green.
Pieces like gigantic muffler, monastic hoods paired with baggy pleated shorts, a white shirt that transmogrified into a Batman cape, a waxed cotton jacket, a sweeping white hooded coat, mid-length overcoat with huge lapels, cowl hooded jackets and shorts were interesting. Accessories included over-the-knee slate coloured boots with heels similar to cowboys boots and thick, matte brown leather belt.
