Actress Taryn Manning wore Rachael Cassar to the Nylon Magazine 12th Anniversary Issue Party with the ‘Sucker Punch‘ cast at Tru Hollywood in Los Angeles, California on March 24, 2011.
Taryn Manning chose a vintage lace and silk dress with Swarovski beading by Rachael Cassar. Sydney based designer Rachael Cassar designs for the future, using the concept of deconstruction to create sustainable eco-fashion.
“The only way that people are going to accept eco-fashion is if they’re not sacrificing anything for it. The trick is to replace cheaply made fashion with equally appealing but sustainable items. Designers no longer have an excuse for not using alternative materials as technology is constantly improving” says Rachael.
Rachael sources second hand materials for her collections, creating beautifully detailed one-of-a-kind designs. Rachael studied at the University of Technology Sydney and is the winner of the 2009 InStyle Women of Style Awards.
