She made her debut single “Tim McGraw” in 2006, which preceded the release of her self-titled debut album. Taylor Swift produced five hit singles on Billboard Hot Country Songs charts and has been certified 3× Multi-Platinum by Recording Industry Association of America.
She released her second album, Fearless, in November 2008. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Swift was the highest-selling artist of 2008 in the United States with combined sales of more than 4 million albums. Swift’s Fearless and her self-titled album was ranked at number three and number six respectively for 2008, with sales of 2.1 and 1.5 million. With combined singles from her just two albums, she is the female artist with most top 40 hits this decade. According to the Forbes 2009 issue, Swift has been ranked as the 69th most powerful celebrity with over $18 million earnings this year. In 2010, she will make her feature film debut in the film Valentine’s Day.
