Acne Spring 2011 Collection

Designer Jonny Johansson’s Acne Spring 2011 collection showed at one of Kensington Palace’s apartment gave a mixed message. Acne Spring 2011 womenswear collection presented pieces that looked wearable and comfy.

Looks like long red sweater teamed with a floor-length tube, navy knit teamed with floating chiffon shirt and leggings bathing suit-cum-playsuit, Leather dresses studded with freshwater black pearls were attention grabbing. On the whole, Acne Spring 2011 London Fashion Week Collection was wearable and trendy at same time.

Julien Macdonald Spring 2011 Collection

Julien Macdonald Spring 2011 London Fashion Week collection was described by designer as traditional English with a twist. It was a feminine collection with lots of sexy evening wear flaunted on runway. Looks like striped ticking on oversize jackets and shorts, bedroom-glamor dresses, see through coats, minidresses were awesome.

Sheer fabrics and cutaways detailing were widely used. Show opened with a model stepping on runway with their hair pulled back, donning lacy outfits adorned with frills in cream and off white colors. Some flash of color with yellow dress and dark blue ensembles were also seen. On the whole, Julien Macdonald Spring 2011 Fashion Show was feminine and treat for eyes.

House of Holland Spring 2011 Collection

Henry Holland’s House of Holland Spring 2011 London Fashion Week presentation was colorful and wearable. Inspiration behind House of Holland Spring/Summer 2011 Collection was “1970s glamor, disco and New York nightlife”. Banana leaf print was prominent on the runway on dresses, jackets, separates, tailored frosty pastel jacquards, kimono-sleeve tops and vivid green printed jerseys.

Adding to beauty of collection were metallics, fringing, pleating and star embellishments. Dresses in Green, pink and blue hues teamed with bright pom pom earrings, bronzed cheeks and luxe 70’s locks looked awesome. Talking about House of Holland finale dresses, halter dresses in metallics were disco perfect. Holland ended the show with a pair of halter dresses destined for disco decadence, their gold mesh beaded with stars that look like the kind you got on an A paper in the third grade. On the whole, it was a fun, hot, bright, tight and sexy collection

Acne’s designer Jonny Johansson revealed that Star Wars cartoons has completely penetrated in his world and it truly shows in Acne Fall 2010 ready to wear Collection. Models were looking like fictitious characters from Star Wars with metallic painted foreheads.

A complete theme based but ready to wear clothes like sand-colored jumpsuits, rugged leather jackets and deconstructed patchwork coats along with over-sized track pants were artistically accessorized with metallic bangles.

Highlights of this designer collection for Fall 2010 were oversize black jacket in a collage of different furs, pants with zippered ankles, ragged leather and fur, straight from the cantina jackets, jumpsuits and leggings decorated with Husam el Odeh’s jewelry like chunky silver or copper bangles, interestingly worn on ankle, not wrist.

Designer has completely translated his inspiration into Fall 2010 collection which is dramatic yet very wearable.
