Calvin Klein, house famed for its minimalist aesthetic, replaced prints with minimalist volume gowns. This time Francisco Costa focused on trends and came up with promising spring 2011 trends.

Long-sleeved dresses with a few strategic pleats, statement pants, and dropped waists looked every inch perfect for fashion loving women. Calvin Klein Spring 2011 women’s collection offered sexy, smart and ready to wear women’s dresses.

Show opened with model clad in back-wrap silk halter dress. Then came a slew of Calvin Klein Spring 2011 dresses and coats in variety of shapes and lengths including a long slip, spanking white dress in the shape of an oversize T-shirt with big pocket on the side.

Looks like a long washed-silk halter, silk crepe skirt, a silk shift with pleats across the front, balsam cotton racer-back dresses, long-sleeve coat dress, ankle-length dress, collarless jacket tied over matching pants, sleeveless T-shirt were head turning. Spring 2011 Calvin Klein Mens Collection showcased 41 looks, where focus was on volume, proportion and scale. Wearing Calvin Klein Crop Tops, models were looking quite ritzy. Italo Zucchelli’s vision of modern American sportswear was appreciated as designs were executed on clean, highly textured surfaces to emphasize movement, casually. First look appeared comprised a boxy shirt in black complete with glasses hanging from the neck before moving onto sleek sportswear looks in black and slate grey shades.

Calvin Klein collection ruled runway with dropped shoulder detail on oversized chino shirts, t shirts, and bombers. These were balanced with a tapered leg pant or short trunks. Bomber jackets were also executed in modern coated cotton twills with detachable lower half. Color palette included turquoise, taupe and honey which was interspersed with graphic grey prints. Overall 2011 Men’s collection by Calvin Klein was quite stylish.

This event brought together the Resort 2011 and Spring 2011 offerings and created a unique and impact full experience that unites various lines under an overall theme and concept to express a total lifestyle statement.

Calvin Klein fashion show was held at Die Munze, a historic industrial building, and one of the oldest and most important former mints in Germany. This landmark was transformed for evening into a unique fashion experience that featured over 60 models from around the world. Presence of lots of celebrities at Calvin Klein Fashion show in Berlin made it more magnificent.

The night blossoms with several of Calvin Klein’s current global advertising talent which include actress Diane Kruger, face of recently announced new fragrance, model Lara Stone, who will be featured in Calvin Klein Collection, ck Calvin Klein, and Calvin Klein Jeans Fall 2010 campaigns were present.

Kellan Lutz who will be seen in current Calvin Klein X Underwear global advertising campaign; and, actress Zoe Saldana, who was announced as the new face of women’s Calvin Klein Underwear at a press conference earlier.
