Model stepped on runway in Alexis Mabille Spring 2011 dresses and gowns that were followed by their mirror image in colored version.

Yes!! Alexis Mabille Spring/Summer 2011 Couture Show flaunted dreamy white dresses like girlish above-the-knee dresses, statement-making floor-length numbers that were again shown with color splash.

What an interesting theme!! It was a very romantic collection in white that rerun in a colored version.

Dark versus light was clearly visible in one-shouldered gown in two tones of green adorned with a pink rose garland that was followed by its mirror image in white with flowers now camellialike.

Rounding up the show were outfits wrapped in huge duchesse satin overskirts that untied to become capes.

There were many red carpet worthy dresses like floor-grazing gown in moss crêpe, dramatic evening dress coats tossed aside in favor of short organza tunic dresses. Just Beautiful!!

In Alexis Mabille Fall 2010 Collection main focus were on long evening gowns, hand-embroidered and beaded for Mabille. Combo of delicately beaded bodices, over-layed fabrics, ribbon trimming, lush embroidery, and silk velvet made for showpieces could stand up to any ball gown. In young couturier’s 15 piece collection, one of the most glamorous pieces was a black silk-velvet gown, embellished with cornelli embroidery in silver and gold , with an elaborate bodice, and with a flourish of pale pink silk orchids, on each shoulder.

Alexis Mabille Autumn/Winter 2010 Couture Collection heavily focused on the idea of couture separates, as in loose corolla top, tied on the shoulder with bows, or one embroidered with scrolls and flower appliqués. Outfits veered on a more versatile, wearable side.

Mabille is still working hard his way up to the fashion ladder, but he’s already have shown hints of excellence in his work, which makes him one of the most exciting designers to watch. Check out more Paris Haute Couture Fall 2010 Shows

The second day was kicked off by young couturier, Alexis Mabille, who played with graphics and strong blocks of color in his accomplished collection this morning. Kazimir Malevich’s graphic work and early 20th-century period of Russian art was inspiration behind his designs.

Showing in a garage on rue de Turenne, on a red, black & white catwalk, with retro mobiles dangling from ceiling, Mabille opened his show with a bi-colored dress. It was divided precisely into black and bright pink. This motif was also displayed on hairs that got same treatment with pink color on one side of the part, and as so did shoes with one scarlet, one black to match the dress.

This dress set tone for show with fur coats, coat-dresses and shift dresses, similarly spliced into bold blocks of black and red, black and orange, black and blue, and black and silver. Many styles were back-to-front, offering a collared effect around the spine. But thing to notice in this fabulous collection was necklines; they all were different from each other, revealing hard work of designer on them.

No doubt, this collection was for spring/summer 2010, but Mabille gave us an advance look at his vision for next autumn/winter with sweaters and furs. Mabille played well with his cut-out theme, in a dress in black with oval, flesh-tone panels scissored into sides. His favorite signature, “The Bow”, occasionally appeared in a charming way. It was worked as a drape into A-line skirts and tops, or as a ruffled profusion of decoration in acid-yellow around off-the-shoulder neckline of an LBD.

Mabille’s evening wear was an excellent exercise in sophisticated discretion. Best were a cardigan dress with scattered fabric pieces in square to achieve a harlequin effect, a classic, cocktail dresses, and a series of black and white ball gowns with contrast bows applied as sashes across the body, or worked as a bustle on the back of skirt.

The show came to an end with a simple bridal gown in creamy satin, again with designer’s signature, a bow on top of the veil.
