There was summertime ease and ladylike sophistication in Carolina Herrera collection with color palette that flowed from canary yellow, sage green and rosy red and designs including day dresses, airy gowns, lightweight jackets, pleated pants, knit sweaters, chiffon blouses.

Menswear-inspired look were seen in crisp white blouses paired with slightly slouchy pants. Geometric designs were prominent in trio of black and white dresses.

Top looks of Carolina Herrera Spring 2012 collection included he piped canvas trench in a gold-tinged khaki; cap-sleeve dress accessorized with scarf, sunglasses and belt; crisscross-cross halter gown in a gorgeous shade of celery green.

Grabbing a lot of attention were Carolina Herrera spring 2012 glamorous evening dresses like art deco-inspired gowns adorned with intricate beading; canary yellow jacquard silk gown with dotted chiffon and big panels of embroidery.

Models’ hair were pulled back in low ponytail and dresses were accessorized with chic accesssories including Bakelite bangles, scarves, handbags and Manolo Blahnik for Carolina Herrera wedges.

Nina Ricci Resort 2011 Romantic Collection:

Nina Ricci Cruise 2011 Collection was all about designs that evoke romanticism. Designer Peter Copping resorted to feminine theme and presented lot of designs with use of lace details, ruffles, fur and sheer and fabrics like washed parachute silks, pleated georgette that added to the ultrafeminine vibe of the lineup.

Designer Peter Copping played with lots of pastel colors, not only for clothes but also for footwear. An ivory and white lace fitted T-shirt dress worn over a peach slip, classically draped cerise pink gown with multiple bows up the back, pink silk radzimir skirt and pastel evening dresses combined with platform wedges in pastel colors, were awesome.

Carolina Herrera Resort 2011 Feminine and Romantic Collection:

Carolina Herrera Cruise 2011 Collection is feminine, romantic, sophisticated and very very ladylike. Lots of exotic evening wear and day wear were presented in this collection like sheath dresses, high-waist trousers, skirts and shirts with tiered sleeves and lace fabric, beautiful floor length gowns, Carolina Herrera mermaid gown and much more.

Highlights of collection were blossom pink textured organza strapless dress, a gray Chantilly lace floor-scraper, a strapless dress in a watercolor print adorned with dropped waistlines, tiers and frills done in sheer, soft and airy fabrics.

Nicole Miller Resort 2011 Casual Military inspired Collection:

Nicole Miller Cruise 2011 Collection was all about military inspired dresses that were stylish, wearable and feminine at same time. It was kind of a casual military collection that included navy linen-denim dress, cargo jackets, army green cotton-lycra minidresses, relaxed cargo dresses, updated army pants and an ultra-feminine pant with exaggerated ruched hips and much more.

Not only military inspired womenswear, accessories like platform shoes, ankle boots with peep toes, silver and cut glass earrings were also fantastic.

Classically fitted with puffy mermaid tails and dramatic long trains, the dresses that stand out are frocks with noticeable floral patterns. If you’re a bride that’s not afraid of little color, then any of these sassy dark floral gowns would suit you to march down the aisle.

Carolina Herrera Spring 2011 bridal collection is absolutely perfect for a spring wedding. Collection is inspired by greatest female artists of all time: writers, painters, poets, etc. Wedding gowns are both classic and creative. Soft floral prints and embroidery made an appearance amidst lace, tulle, and taffeta.

Gowns looked very traditional and vintage. There was nothing accentric this time. These dresses will be ideal for feminine girls that want to look elegant and cute, beatiful and stylish at their most important day of life.

Looks at Herrera’s show reminded us of women of 80s television show “Dynasty” styled in 2010 fashion. For Fall 2010, Carolina Herrera showed properly tailored outfits including wide-leg trousers, sable jackets, fox shrugs, and crisp white shirts, cocktail dresses, with full, Castilian double-sleeves. There were strapless embroidered dresses, appliquéd with scarlet velvet poppies, steel-grey silk organza gown, with immense, puff sleeves, and hourglass skirt.

Makeup highlighted 70s smoky eyes, with accented cheekbones and neutral lips and a lip pencil on eye area so as to get deep, true color. And look of hair was emphasized smooth, and clean with a center part that cascaded behind the ear and down the back. Models on runway were accessorized with huge, wide brimmed hats, big vintage-y button like earrings and fur.

Carolina Herrera, famous for her luxurious, opulent feminine pieces, has definitely delivered this season an elegant array of gowns that incorporated touches of velvet, like a silk draped gown (above left) with a deep red velvet ribbon. This collection reminded us of Herrera Spring 2010 Collection, and this collection was truly phenomenal as always!!

In place of classic suitings, Herrera sent dressy shorts down her runway in a variety of cuts and fabrics, from a trim minimalist design to cuffed and pocketed shorts of suiting fabrics like linen jacquard. But it doesn’t mean we have forgot her astonishing classy gowns! Oh, they were so gorgeous. I’m surely gonna pick one or two from this collection.

Fabric textures, prints and accessories although were cued from ancient Eastern hand craft but designs were purely Herrera’s, showing her extreme expertise in women’s fashion.

Using a natural color palette of stone, ivory and beige, spiced with terracotta, rose, caramel, and gold, Herrera wove vests and jackets in silken raffia, created lattice-like bodices in linen jacquard, and cinched striped gazer dresses with intricately-woven leather belts.

Collection is an homage to artists who have featured fashion prominently in their work. The Carolina Herrera Spring 2010 Bridal collection looks back through history at the extravagant details that have come to define these painter’s style.

Knife strokes evident in the creation of Van Gogh’s Sunflowers are tactfully recreated in Taffeta ruffles. Monet’s water lilies hand painted onto English tulle, and Matisse’s paper cutouts are made into duchess satin leaves embroidered onto a tulle column.

Degas’ ballerina and Goya’s Maja Clothed are most literal transaction of their subjects. Each silhouette tributes to a master painter who left behind an enduring influence on fashion.
