Look of collection set eighties/seventies glam rock style with gold and crimson brocade, frock-coats topped with sequinned trousers. Seventeenth-century cutaway coats with high-collar and gilded jeans were highly elaborated. Dresses in gold leather and gold beading, especially the gowns are sure a fire bet for Oscars red carpet.

Decarnin’s tailored pantsuits of seventies and nineties showcased the return of leg-lengthening, over-shoe flared pant. Decarnin also went for Louis heeled ribbon-laced boots, snappy jackets, sequin and lame dresses which added glamor to the show. Despite of metallic colors, there were black and gray pinstripe trouser suits, albeit, worn with see-through, pussycat-bow blouses.

Show was a hectic parade with dash, flash and cash, as 36 models were fresh faced with long of legs working on a serious flaxen motif, with long blonde hair. Show raced around the catwalk, mix of Prince hits, smiling and preening. At closer side it themed at Tom Ford for Gucci look that is rising as part of nineties redux, for this season.

For Spring 2010, Decarnin brought another whammy of a no-brainier blockbuster. His army of sleek-limbed, sizzling super-girls strode out with huge-shouldered, metal-epaulet military tailcoats with tattered T-shirts, and bullet belts slanged around artfully stained and holed jeans.

Patching together 70’s MASH and Versace’s early chain-mailed goddess-dressing, the show moved in a sequence, starting from camouflage to sequined camouflage to patch-worked gold-sequined camouflage.

Faded military tailcoats and frock-coats, came in washed-out denim, leather, and khaki cotton, their shoulders dripping with gilded, chain-mail epaulets. Microscopic pelmet-skirts and bikini-pants, with jagged hems, were seen in studded crocodile and leather, and belts jangling with metal hardware.

Among the rag-tag army, heavy metal brigade glistened with chain-mail and sequined, body-con, minidresses beaded in dazzling camouflage patterns. Gold lame halter-dresses came with mini-toga skirts, raw-edge hems, or draped with unraveling ‘bandages’ of fabric.
