Giants of fashion show are all set with their clothes to yet again turn this years Paris fashion Week Into Fashion fiesta. Designers and Brands taking part in this are numerous. Nicolas Andreas Taralis, Moon Young Hee, Anne Valerie Hash, Limi feu, Dries Van Noten, Rochas, Gareth Pugh, Damir Doma are the names that have presented their shows till now.

Talking about first day, Paris Fashion Week 2010 kicked off with shows by Nicolas Andreas Taralis, Rochas, Dries Van Noten, Quentin Veron and Gareth Pug. There were some interesting looks like beehive hair, sheer dresses, leather dresses, military fabrics, designer bags.

Nicolas Andreas Taralis Fall 2010 collection was all about black suits for both men and women. Rochas Fall 2010 collection was full of joy, lots of jackets and designer bags. Dries Van Noten Fall 2010 presented long outerwear, military fabric, fifties and sixties ladylike shapes and sweatshirting. Gareth Pugh Autumn/Winter 2010 collection was based on black color for both men and women.

Balenciaga, Balmain, Nina Ricci, Issey Miyake, Christian Dior, Maison Martin Margiela, Karl lagerfeld, Emanuel Ungaro, Ingrid Vlasov, Valentino, Talbot Runhof, Cerruti are some designers for Paris Fashion Week 2010 that will unveil their collection in days to come.

Alexander McQueen show, scheduled for March 9 which is always Paris highlight will take place as planned before the designer’s untimely death. Fashion World will miss Alexander McQueen .

Get ready to witness some great creation by famous names such as Lanvin, Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Commes des Garcons, Valentino, and Hermes. Paris fashion Week is known for giving platform to emerging new designers and this time as well you will find new designers like Rick Owens, Roland Mouret and Hussein Chalayan.

It was clear from very first outfit on runway, that we were in for a feast of sumptuous pageantry for the day. The first look featured a pink brocade coat, with golden brocade, slim-cut, cropped trousers. Van Noten gathered most adorable silks, satins, embroideries and handwoven materials from the most far-flung areas across the world.

One of the handwoven, “Ikat” printed fabrics from Uzbekistan, had undergone a two-day journey by donkey, across river-beds and mountain ranges, in order to reach a DHL courier rendezvous, so it could be transported to his studio in Antwerp.

Other handwoven fabrics were from Sumatra, Bali and India, or developed in consultation with museum curators in China and Japan. The result was a treasure chest of satin, silk and brocade, printed in dazzling, age-old prints, patterns, and paisleys inspired by long-gone empires and dynasties.

Rainbow-bright colors of a tropical jungle, mingled with duller, khaki shades of earth and sand. Silver and gold beading and complicated embroideries were sprinkled like favors at the court of Genghis Khan. Chokers, necklaces, and cuffs continued extravaganza of opulence with multi-roped pearls, dazzling stones, crystals and rhinestones.

The shapes were contemporary like cuffed shorts, kimono-jackets, slim pants, shell-tops, sashed jackets, vests and pinafores. Markedly striking was Van Noten’s sari-style evening gowns, where a luxuriant drapes of multi-hued, gilded silk, was caught at hip of a metallic shell top.
