Anticipation about Kate Moss’s wedding gown was touching heights and as speculated she wore a John Galliano wedding dress.

World’s most famous supermodel Kate Moss looked absolutely stunning & angelic in a vintage-looking sleeveless, floor-length off-white buttery lace dress accented with rhinestone.

Her dress also featured sheer skirt and gold leaf embroidery, making it all the more feminine. Just like her dress, Kate’s hairstyle was also dreamy. She wore her hair in loose wavy style with waves pinned back to the side.

Some tousled, loose waves were cascading down her shoulders, topped off by a vintage-style lace embroidered floor length veil with off-white floral accents.

For a perfect head-to-toe look, supermodel Moss teamed her custom made dress with shoes by Manolo Blahnik with ’something blue’ and sported flawless makeup with nude lips and smoky eyes.

Hince looked handsome in light blue Stefano Pilati for YSL suit, complete with skinny pants and sunglasses for rocker twist.

John Galliano Autumn/Winter 2011/12 fashion show went ahead without John Galliano just like Christian Dior Fall 2011 Show but the designer yet again displayed his brilliance and spirit in his absence.

John Galliano Fall 2011 runway show was presented in a flower and antique-strewn mansion in the Avenue Foch that recalled the glory days of Galliano’s early years in Paris and walked around ornate flower-covered centerpieces.

Models hit the Turkish carpets wearing wool suiting, cashmere cocoon coats, open-back, printed silk shirts, tucked into draped pencil skirts. Evoking Galliano’s fascination were tapering, kimono-coat, in celadon-green, lavishly embroidered, and embellished with black fox.

Among highlight of the show were black PVC and black tulle short worn with a violet chiffon slip dress, wool suiting, fringed and trimmed with fur and accessorised with feathered head-pieces, an elaborate pistachio green silk kimono dress and wonderful Stephen Jones hats.

There were beautifully constructed jackets swinging high at the back over cleverly draped skirts, silky kimono dresses, high collared silk cocoon coats.

Garments were based on color palette that was very autumn and included deep burgundy, gothic black and emerald greens Rounding up the Dior Fall 2011 show were models catwalking on runway in lingerie-inspired dresses.

They wore dreamy lingerie-look peignoir-dresses, evening-gowns in ruffled and pleated see-through chiffon. Making their look all the more stunning were skyscraper-heeled shoes, furnished with ribbons and bows.

Name of John Galliano’s successor has yet not revealed the finale of Christian Dior Fall 2011 runway show signaled the end of an era for Dior when the label’s design atelier took to the stage.

Show opened with American model, Karlie Kloss stepping on runway in a dramatic red-to-black tulle coat, accessorized with red ‘paper’ eyebrows.

Then came a slew of models in peplum jackets, nipped-in waists, airy hats, decadent masks, slim-fitting pencil skirts along with a slick 1940s hairstyles and and bold makeup.

Just like Alexis Mabille Spring 2011 Couture Collection and Armani Prive Spring 2011 Couture show, Christian Dior Haute Couture show was magical.

It flaunted many red carpet worthy dresses like magnificent skirts and highly decorative ball gowns that were illustrative and effortlessly refined. Suit with crystal, sequin and sheer fabric detailing was also a nice twist.

Color flowed from soft greys, blues, strong reds and black to flesh and more pastel palette. Giving it a more forties touch were models’ hair styled in curled updos and their glossy lips.

Talking about Christian Dior haute couture skirts, there were narrow pencil skirts as well as voluminous skirts with layer upon layer of cappuccino, pale blue or pink tulle. Accessories like wide belts of alligator or crocodile, feathered headdresses were chic.

Taking reference form Christian Dior’s 1953 Spring Collection that introduced  “tulip line” and included floaty prints, Christian Dior Haute Couture Fall 2010 turned out to be a very dramatic runway show. Be it clothes, hairstyles, stage presentation; everything was so dramatic and perfect. Headgears like inverted cellophane bouquet wraps by Stephen Jones were stunning.

This collection is result of designer John Galliano research on real flowers, spending an hour watching the light change on parrot tulip. Photographs taken by two great flower photographers de nos jours, Irving Penn and Nick Knight also gave Galliano inspiration for this floral inspired feminine collection.

Talking about Christian Dior Fall 2010 Haute Couture dresses, coat like a huge inverted daffodil and a dress in black taffeta that was hand-painted with pansies,  jacket and skirt combinations like white felt over lilac organza, jade mohair with a swoop of portrait neckline over a petaled bubble of black organza, colored petal details delicately draped over ballooning skirts, cinched at the waist were awesome.

Opening day of Paris Couture Fall 2010 turned out to be more huge and dramatic with John Galliano’s Christian Dior Haute Couture Fall 2010 collection.

Christian Dior Haute Couture Gowns were big, dreamy, beautiful, colorful and completely mesmerizing owing to cinched waists and layers and layers of detail and textures.

Making entry in a straw country hat, John Galliano, Dior’s designer said “I’m having a floral moment”.

Following Scott Barnhill, dressed as Charlie Chaplin was Buster Keaton wearing porkpie hat, three-piece suit and giving lugubrious expression.

There were number of shows that can be called “Attention Grabbers”. Among the top ones were Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, and Elie Saab. Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren are considered as performance artists of fashion world. Their Fall show, which they dubbed Glamor Factory, picked up where their Babushka collection of more than ten years ago left off. The Dutch duo displayed black and dark gray liquid outer layers that were transformed into dresses, statement coats, and skirts, highlighting collection’s versatility and malleability.

While some pieces, like heavy hipped confection above (which transformed into a cape), seemed a little over the top. Several pieces, including the oversized coats and strapless, ripped and zipped cocktails, would undoubtedly find homes in wardrobes of celebrity front row fixtures Beth Ditto and Lindsay Lohan.

Viktor & Rolf Fall 2010 Collection represented what is loved most about Paris Fashion Week. They married spectacle with practicality, beguiling and amusing audience members by their mere presence and deft handiwork while also offering a handful of very wearable, seasonless pieces.
