Riccardo got inspired by the dancer Kazuo Ohno’s intensely ritualized style of performance called Butoh and the Japan of robot toys. Kazuo Ohno was sort of muse for the designer and it was reflected in color palette followed in Givenchy Spring 2011 Haute Couture Collection.

Robots’ influence was visible in Givenchy Spring 2011 couture accessories like shoes and Sci-fi helmets with horns by Philip Treacy, whose creations were  also flaunted in Armani Spring 2011 Couture show.

Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci Haute Couture S/S comprised just ten gowns, showed off exclusively by Asian models including Chinese (Ming Xi, Liu Wen, Shu Pei Qin, Sun Fei Fei, Du Juan, Jiang Xiao Yi), Japanese (Ai Tominaga, Tao Okamoto) and Korean (Hye Rim Park, So Young Kang).

Gowns were adorned with intricate embroideries, sequins, finely-cut leather, and padded silk. There were hand-painted long-silk tulle skirts, samurai’-style jackets that featured robot designs on the back in fluorescent lime and fuschia, sheer tulle full-length dresses. Oversized obi-belts, high-heeled platform sandals crafted from the cogs.

Givenchy Couture dresses like massive bird’s wings folded across a sheer skirt, one gown featuring a Japanese crane that rose phoenixlike from a cloud of feathers, a dress adorned with Swarovski crystals and pearls that were crusted on the bodice were interesting.

Givenchy Leather Masks were presented as part of designer Ricardo Tisci’s Givenchy Spring/Summer 2011 accessories collection for men. Collection was based on goth-inspired aesthetic and these leather masks went with it completely. Givenchy masks come in white and black color and were donned by models on runway. These masks can be a part of unusual Spring 2011 mens fashion trends.

These designer leather masks are different from typical accessories for boys but can be part of a party based on Gothic theme like Halloween party. Besides masks, Givenchy accessories collection also features wallets, crafted from leather and calfskin with fine gold and metallic red finishes, the calfskin bag.

Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci said “I want to make couture even more special than it is, and not just another catwalk show.” Among highlights of collection were catsuit featuring a Swarovski crystal skeleton that took 1,600 hours to make and a gold lace dress that is outcome of six months hard work.

Givenchy Fall 2010/2011 Couture collection by Riccardo Tisci was shown in an intimate salon with real customers in audience to inspect fine handwork of label’s current custodian, closely. Givenchy Haute Couture Fall 2010 Collection comprised of 10 looks that focused on extensive detail.

Lots of exotic dresses in white, flesh-color and gold were presented with no darker hues except feathers in chocolate brown color. Riccardo Tisci couture dresses were embellished with gold, stones and beads.

Models in gold sequins adorned gowns with Charlie Le Mindu-style hair coats were looking ritzy. In all, Givenchy Autumn/Winter 2010 Haute Couture Collection was different and magnificent.

In this collection, one can see Tisci’s pieces which include his standard colors palette of reds, blacks, and whites with an occasional dash of leopard print. On a whole, collection looks pretty and stylish, with minimum accessories.

Givenchy Fall 2010 ad campaign with transsexual model is shot in a very artistic way. Lea T is Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci’s longtime former assistant as well as fit model. By casting a transsexual model among cast for Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci has taken whole idea of ‘coed fashion shoot’ to another level.

For Givenchy Fall 2010 Collection, Tisci used neoprene diving fabric which he nicely melded into his collection with reworking of aesthetics of nineties, personalized with Tisci’s taste for Parisian glamor. Color pattern set for this collection was black, red, and beige. Tisci set a look for models which was accompanied by tape-bound throats, red glitter gloves, bags, and lips and sexy workings of scarlet, black, and nude lace.

Scuba-ski patterns re-engineered into formfitting bodysuits, sunk into neoprene lower garments that unfurled at waist by means of zippers. Tisci returned to working with feathers – a feature he has made his own in past Givenchy collections. For evening wears, he set a fold-down device which was transposed to inform shape of black velvet and satin evening shifts and tunics.

At end he featured his own style in his couture collections over several seasons consisting T-shirts, paired with narrow black pants, which was quite appreciating. Shoes and gloves were the main highlights among accessories used. They were absolutely Givenchy Gorgeous!!

From the very first look with a geometrically striped black & white jersey jacket over a graphic, lozenge-fronted top and draped pants everyone was on high alert, jostling and craning for best possible view. The out-brows were bleached, and dresses were matched with bandage-wrap wedge-heeled ankle boots, making clear to all that this would be a show that mattered.

What he sent out was a fusion of Arabic influences, with goddess-like draping and his new research into sixties Roman couture. Almost every garment had an intensity of proportion and detail that looked incredible like the tiny kilts; graphic jackets; attenuated drop-crotch harem pants; multi-layered, modernized tutus; and draped, wrapped, and swathed tulle dresses.

Grecian draping, Roman couture, and op art prints were the influences of this collection, with graphic black and white stripe jackets, draped harem pants, intensely ruffled skirts, skinny leggings and gorgeous tulle dresses. These all things have been seen before in his collection. But for this season, it was pared down, refined, beautifully executed and insanely desirable.

This highly resolved series of looks could have come about only because of Tisci’s experience in Givenchy’s haute couture. The cleverness shown in his collections is that, everything he’s doing now has been designed taking youth in consideration.
