Some silk chiffon gowns were made from more than 20 metres cloth and were hand-embroidered with yards of fine silver thread. Bustier-dresses and skirts, just managing to cover the upper thigh, were fashioned from lime, pink, and aquamarine chain-mail with turreted hems.
