Christmas indeed came early as the December issue of Vogue hits the shelves a few days back, hosting festive and fashionable delights. Lara Stone is decked out as the girl of the year, in gorgeous gowns and corsages for British Vogue’s December cover shoot. Styled by Lucinda Chambers and photographed by Mario Testino, the Dutch supermodel is a quite the vision in pieces by Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino.
This issue is inspired by a picture referring to the 1951 Norman Parkinson image of a young woman dressed in a dramatic ball gown. That image was shown to Alexandra Shulman as a part of the research for another project. But, it struck her as an image that summed up all that Vogue represents – fashion, style, extreme beauty and a sense of contemporary.
