The 67th Golden Globes Awards turned out to be a fashion treat for every fashion lover. Hollywood’s second most important awards event behind Oscars really have that beauty to be called so. Red carpet was getting hotter and hotter with each celeb stepping on the red carpet. Nature played its part by damping red carpet with rain, but couldn’t damp enthusiasm of celebrities.
Holding an umbrella in hand, walking down long entrance to Beverly Hilton, ritzy beauties were looking fairies from heaven who can cast a spell on onlooker, which they surely did. Main feature of awards this time were the gowns flaunted by celebs which were adding charisma to their persona.
One exotic beauty and eye catching sight was Toni Collette’s Elie Saab gown that was classy, glamorous and highlighted everything that’s good about her figure. The Giorgio Armani Prive gown with a mermaid hemline worn by Penelope Cruz, gave her just right amount of sparkle. Earrings by Chopard served as a cherry on the cake, completing her look.
There was a splash of colors that damped red carpet more than the rain. Sandra Bullock’s deep purple Bottega Veneta chiffon gown enhanced beauty and spark in her eyes as well as she received Best Actress in a Motion Picture/Drama award for ‘The Blind Side’. An asymmetrical red dress from Jay Godfrey made Amy Poehler look even more sexy and sensuous.
Golden Globes was not just about fashion but a special cause was also attached to it. Celebs supported Haiti by attaching a ribbon to their attire. Anna Kendrick’s gesture of attaching ’support Haiti’ ribbon to her Marchesa gown made her look fashionable and concerned for the cause. Designer dresses were just overwhelming. Olivia Wilde was dressed up in designer attire from head to toe. She was wearing a Gucci dress, teamed with Tiffany & Co. jewelry along with Jimmy Choo shoes, and a Judith Leiber clutch.
Celebs on red carpet in Golden Globe Awards 2010 truly set it on fire. Surely, 67th Golden Globes Awards was witness of more than just awards, with lineup of designer gowns.
