There She Goes Again!! Suddenly falling in front of everyone at a public place is embarrassing, but when it comes to runway show, it’s all the more embarrassing. This year New York Fashion Week witnessed two models getting tripped up on runway.
First was Agyness Deyn, at Fashion for Relief Haiti Show who fell not once but twice and finally picked up herself and stylishly took off 7-inch Burberry platforms shoes that made her lose her balance. Agyness Deyn fell twice on runway during Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief Haiti Show at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week in Manhattan’s Bryant Park.
After Agyness Deyn fall, all models, flaunting designer fashion on runway became more conscious. Then in Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 show, model Mathilde Frachon who turned 20 on same day took a spill in a white lace dress in front of hundreds of cameras and best of the fashion industry.
High heels are always seen as reason of models tripping in, but that was not the reason behind Mathide’s fall on runway. We can conclude that may be Agyness Deyn fall on runway was for supporting a good cause and Mathilde Frachon fall on runway came as a birthday bump wishing her HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

I once saw a bunch of models fall as they were coming out at Emperio Armani who had a glass runway that season. Someone (probably one of the PETA peeps from outside) poured water on the glass runway (I noticed this afterward – don’t know if anyone ever figured that out but I thought they knew) and most of the models went down or struggled to stay upright.
I found out later that none of the models who fell were hired back for the Armani show the next day. Shame as it wasn’t their fault.
Don’t ever just assume it’s the heels as these girls can run a marathon in heels. They were them all day everyday!!!
