Midi skirt fashion presented by Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2010/11 Collection in Paris Fashion Week is a big challenge and competition for mini skirts fashion.
Marc Jacobs chose gorgeous models Laetitia Casta, Bar Refaeli, Catherine McNeil, Karolina Kurkova and Elle Macpherson to present his artistic designs for Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 Collection. It was all about elegant dresses for real women.
Marc Jacobs gave a new look to models and collection with fresh and feminine makeup and clothes along with ponytail hairstyle and square toed, block-heeled pumps with flat bows. A Parisian atmosphere was created with fifties movie music played in middle of tented courtyard and models parading around 16 jet fountain.
Models beautifully presented skirts and frocks with flocked and sequined, smothered in guipure lace over satin or woven in metallic thread. A lot of vintage Louis Vuitton bags were also presented stylishly.
Giving a clear competition to mini skirt, lot of graceful and down to mid-calf or the floor, skirts and dresses accessorized with elbow-length glove were flaunted on stage. Models Elle Macpherson, Laetitia Casta and and Lara Stone were looking very elegant in corsets and halter-neck-dresses.
Designer Marc Jacobs added fresh, unusual color and modern fabrics such as velvet, fur-trims on knits, and lace over rose-print to avoid vintage look. Elle Macpherson looked beautiful in rose pink corset with rise-and-fall crinoline, draped in front to show silver lining.
Yellow sweater cabled out of sequins, wool corsets, full mid length skirts and Vuitton’s 80-year-old speedy bag were highlight of show. In all, it was a great show that presented vintage womenswear with a trendy twist.
