Karl Lagerfeld presented a Resort Collection for Chanel in Saint Tropez for 2011 which was colorful and Bohemian. Lots of stylish resort pieces in different styles, colors were exhibited by tanned and toned models. Focus was on the clothes and model were acessorized with funky jewelry, metallic gladiator sandals, and chanel handbags, giving it a resort feel which is cool and casual.
Chanel Resort 2011 collection opened with Natasha Poly wearing a printed Chanel dress. Karl Lagerfeld Resort 2011 collection was full of 70’s style clothes like diaphanous caftans, long crocheted dresses, ruffle-lapelled silk jersey trouser suits, and patchwork denim skirts.
Chanel Resort Collection 2011 was all about wearable chiffon kaftans, gingham blouses, metallic shorts, tweed jackets, and lace swimwear and sexy models like Jacquetta Wheeler, Georgia May Jagger, and plus size model Crystal Rennn Glamor magazine June 2010 cover girl.
Georgia May Jagger in Chanel Resort 2011 collection closed the show on the back of a motorcycle. Highlights of show were barefoot models, their stylish entry at Quai Jean Jaurès via speedboat. Just like Chanel Fall 2010 collection, this collection was presented in interesting way.
Talking about collection, highlights were cropped bouclé tweed jackets, bikini tops, and belted high-waisted brown denim flares, representing flare pants fashion.
In all, it was a colorful, bohemian style collection that was inspired by 70s style fashion and evoked holiday feeling and celebration. Chanel Resort 2011 runway show was followed by celebration that was celebrated on location where Lagerfeld’s short film for collection, ‘Remember Now’ was shot.
