Richard Philips Collection comes with racy, hyper-glam images revved-up in a modern take on pages of vintage magazine pages, transformed into a super-vixen collection of color for eyes, lips and cheeks. Richard Phillips, whose work has been described as “racy and hyper-glam” is the perfect candidate to team up with MAC. His collection includes eye-shadows, plush lash mascara, lipsticks, tinted lip gloss, and powder blush.
Cheeky, witty, always amusing, Maira Kalman’s style is cute and colorful. Wonderfully child-like and sophisticated all at once. Technakohl Liners and magical Eye Shadows are full of cock-eyed optimism, with just the tiniest smidge of city-girl-snobbism. The collection is simply sublime!
Marilyn Minter found inspiration in MAC’s loose glitter pigments, especially in “decadent and violent” shade of red. Minter focuses on the iridescence but her slightly erotic photographs zoom in on a dappled, glittered eye, or a silverized stiletto splashing in the mud. Minter finds perfection with a flaw, so her photos are super sexy, wet, and anything but proper.
