Sarah Burton is named Creative Director at McQueen. She worked with Alexander McQueen for more than 14 years and got huge accolade for completing McQueen’s final collection during Paris Fashion Week. Now, she will be taking charge of label as Creative Director.
She will be debuting a precollection in June and Spring ‘11 collection during Paris Fashion Week in October. After Alexander McQueen’s suicide in March, his position was vacant and Sarah Burton is creative director at Alexander McQueen label now.
Burton said : “The creation of modern, beautifully crafted clothes was at the heart of Lee’s vision. I intend to stay true to his legacy.” Check out two designs of Alexander McQueen last collection which was eventually completed by Sarah.
