Men’s designer Thom Browne is now diving in women’s apparel pool with his new line of womens wear. This is not the first time that Thom is introducing women’s clothing. Before this, he has done it with capsule collections for Barneys (2007 & 2008). This collection will contain lots of cashmeres, gray flannels, jackets and trousers and more. Thom Browne women’s clothing line will be in menswear style done in a feminine way.
“It’s very focused on jackets and trousers and outerwear,” he says of the design direction. “I think it’s what people expect from me, very men-inspired women’s clothing. Gray flannel, navy cashmere. Good, all-American menswear influence, but fitting in a cool feminine way. I want it to be very understandable. Personally, when I see it on the girls, I think it looks so good. I like the idea of men’s tailoring on girls. It’s very strong and sexy in a non-overt way.”
He also added that this collection will get bigger with the time and will become fully developed collection for next coming seasons. Small collection of Thom Browne duds for fairer sex will appear on sales floors at Barneys New York and Colette in Paris, as well as on 10 Corso Como in Seoul and Thom Browne’s flagship stores in New York City Tribeca.

I love Thom Browne and his latest Fall 2011 was divine. I can’t wait to see his coming women’s collection. I’ll need to have at least one of his jackets.
